The Role

We are looking for a candidate who wants to develop together with Minesto in the long term. You will be working in the Electrical and controls Group based in Gothenburg but also close to our colleagues in Northern Ireland and Wales. The work consists of designing and program sophisticated control systems inhouse followed by simulation, testing and debugging. Commissioning of our products at our different sites is also a part of the role, in that case as control expert in an experienced team. Minesto has several control platforms. We use embedded system in our kites, PLC in our generator and actuator test rigs, PLCs in our onshore substations and user interface in SCADA and data acquisition, and Python in post processing. This role will focus on classic mechatronic systems with a mix of mechanical, electrical and software systems.

Your Profile

Key qualifications

  • A technical education with minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics or similar

  • 4+ years of experience in the design or building automation and controls systems. Experience from different industries preferred

  • 4+ years of experience developing software for PLC, HMI and SCADA systems

  • Professional experience in motor servo system and frequency converters

  • Professional experience from commission of mechatronic systems

Merit qualifications

  • Experience in working with different field bus types such as EtherCat, Canbus, Profinet etc.

  • Experience in working with electrical systems

  • Experience of SIMULINK

  • Experience with programming language like Python
